With new features improving the overall security, performance, and other aspects, Google Android 6.0 Marshmallow is a must have for all of the users in the ecosystem. Android Police has stumbled upon numerous references to “Nexus Protect” on the Play Store, hinting that the search giant might be prepping itself to launch such a program.
Clearly, Google is implementing some kind of limitation on the phones you’re ordering when purchasing Nexus Protect.
Google is set to announce their next wave of Nexus devices at the end of this month, but before all of that, some users have spotted something interesting over on the Google Play Store. We also suggest you to use a Wi-Fi internet connection, in order to not waste a significant amount of mobile data.
“The Google Store seems to be setting up to limit purchases based on Nexus Protect choices – perhaps if you’re buying multiple devices in the same order, they need to be all covered by a Nexus Protect purchase, or none at all”, added the report. Still, you should be taking this information with a healthy dose of salt, as all we’ve been telling you is based on limited details about this new concept.
It merits mentioning here though that this is speculation and nothing is known for sure at this point in time, for all we know Google might only be toying with the idea of providing extended warranty for Nexus devices and may decide against launching this program to the public. Furthermore, the Nexus 5X will be powered by a Snapdragon 808 and 2GB of RAM, while the Huawei model will have a Snapdragon 810 and 3GB of RAM under the hood. This newly introduced “Now on tap” allows you to take a look onto the relevant notifications while performing tasks, playing games or movies.
