The iPad Pro is now shortly before us and comparisons have been made to the Microsoft Surface Pro tablet – yet, looks aside, the comparison is not really equal. It did, however, generate about $1 billion of revenue for Apple every year, even though it was inferior to similar devices from Amazon, Roku and Google. It’s a good thing their one idea, the iPhone, was so successful.
Apple shares fell 1.9 per cent to $110.15 by the close, replicating the recent history of such rollouts, but also reflecting the lack of any transformative products that could jumpstart the company’s sales ahead of the crucial holiday season. Apple doesn’t have a potential new flagship, either.

In short, this week’s product announcement was a big deal.
I don’t know. I find it hard to take Apple seriously with this iPencil ridiculousness.
In this respect the iPad Pro is “just” another iPad – it’s a massive device, and comes with a keyboard – but keyboard accessories for iPads are not new – and a stylus – and similarly, neither your finger nor a stylus is a new invention either.
