The wait is over today, as Honda officially unveiled the sedan version of the new Civic at an event in LA. The 10th generation Civic will come in sedan, coupe, hatchback, and two high-performance versions, all of which are built on completely new underpinnings that will be used worldwide.

Some interesting claims that we’re hearing about the model state that it will be the first Civic to come with turbocharged options, so that might indicate that the company is trying to reposition the model in its market segment somewhat.
However, the outgoing Civic has been criticized for being drab and mediocre, which caused sales of the iconic model to drop significantly in recent years. Many are simply pleased with how the future Civic is made to appear like. This larger body translates directly into the cabin, which offers more overall space, additional rear seat legroom, and 2.6 cubic feet of extra trunk space relative to the 2015 model. “A suite of driver-assist features will be available, including Collision Mitigation Braking, Road Departure Mitigation, and Adaptive Cruise Control as well as a buffet of digital features from a 7-inch touchscreen to apps for Apple vehicle Play and Android Auto”.
The base LX will make use of the 2.0-liter engine mated to either a six-speed manual or a CVT. Prices haven’t been announced yet so people are still going to have to read news and updates about it.
