Guardiola backs Pedro for Man United success

He is a world and a European champion with Spain and he won it all with Barcelona.

Pedro’s first-team chances diminished considerably last season following the arrival of Luis Suarez and he has since been heavily linked with a move away, with United favourites to sign the speedy winger.

Angel Di Maria has arrived in Doha to undergo a medical ahead of his move to Paris Saint-Germain, the Daily Mail report.

Barcelona had already identified a possible replacement for Pedro in Nolito who plays for Celta Vigo, a club previously managed by Enrique; however, he wouldn’t be able to move until January when the club’s transfer embargo is lifted.

“He played lots of games for Barca and he is good enough to play for any team he wants to”, the Spaniard added. “I wish him the best because he is a great person and a great player“, said his former boss.

“The other day, Pedro’s mother told us he was leaving for England”. One way or another, Pedro’s desire to leave the Catalan club to secure more playing time at Old Trafford may help United secure a deal in the middle of those figures. “If the agreement is €30 million (£21m) at least €450,000 (£316,350) belongs to us, even though these contracts have some specific clauses”.

Nothing is confirmed as yet but if Sport are to be believed, a deal could be finalised as soon as Tuesday and I think it will be an excellent piece of business by United if they can take Pedro to Old Trafford this summer.
