Rumors said Google will host a special media event on September 29th to unveil a new generation of Nexus devices, including the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P.

Going back to the Nexus 6P, the general consensus is that the phone will make it out with a 5.7-inch display with 2,560 x 1,440 pixel resolution and a Snapdragon 810 processor under the hood.

Of course, as the report points out, it’s also unlikely that the Huawei Nexus 6 will support microSD expansion, so those seeking a device that offers the endless smartphone capacity of old might need to curtail their expectations. The latter lets users stream content from Cast-enabled mobile-device apps through the player without using up the mobile device’s battery.

Leaks for the new Nexus smartphones from LG and Huawei have been popping up the last couple of weeks.

Google is now coming to the Android 6.0 Marshmallow’s official over-the-air release slated later this month. If you may remember, the Huawei Nexus was once called as the “Bullhead” while the LG Nexus as the “Angler” when we first heard of the Nexus pair being in the works. Both Nexus phones are also expected to be unlocked and carrier-free. At the keynote Google failed to mention any new Nexus handsets or tablets, but it’s already possible to install Android 6.0 on the existing Nexus 6. Marshmallow was called Android M in its promo. Since then we’ve seen a few others come out from other manufacturers. If we do, you’ll be the first to know! Google seems to have borrowed the Apple style of building up momentum for its events as it invites people to “a morning conversation about some new treats from Google”.

For those tuning in from the United Kingdom , Google’s Sept 29 event start time is 5PM and it will be held at Google’s UK headquarters . This could have been our very first look at the new Nexus 6. The rear shot shows a pronounced black panel which houses the camera and flash and below it is a microphone. Unless, that is, Huawei has made only the bottom grille a loudspeaker and the top one an earpiece for phonecalls.
