Google Photos web update: timestamp and album editing

Google Photos web update: timestamp and album editing

On Thursday, tech biggie Google announced a new, optional feature for Google Photos; giving users the ability to privately rediscover old photos and videos which they had posted in the past.

When you opt-in, you will see cards in the Assistant view that remind you of pictures taken exactly a year ago. It is free and offers you lots of space to store your photos and its search option is also very good.

Now Google has come with new update of Photos app. Thus, Google separated the app from Google+ and given unlimited storage as new facility.

The latest update to Photos’ apps and Web interface has added a quite interesting feature that allows user to revisit photos and videos from the current calendar in which previous photos are available. They would look at something that worked as an “event”, meaning photos that were taken across a longer time frame. You might even get a collage of the people and places from the day.

This unnamed feature is totally opt-in and it will work with not only the Photos app on Android and iOS, but through a desktop browser as well.

It’s up to you if you then want to share those memories with others via a social network.
