The Xbox App, like all Windows 10 universal apps, is updated via the Windows 10 Store. According to Tsunoda, Xbox has a lot more to offer in terms of exclusive games, and that’s something none have not been able to compete with.

“You can now stream games from your Xbox One to Windows 10 devices in high-res HD quality at 1080p/60fps”, Xbox Live’s “Major Nelson” Larry Hryb wrote in a blog post. Notifications also received an update, as they can now be disabled or enabled when the user is invited to a multiplayer game or party.

Microsoft has just announced the details of this month’s update for Xbox One consoles. Xbox One has addressed the issue of backward compatibility, something its rival Sony is not willing to accomodate.

First, it appears that this change is only part of the Windows 10 Xbox App, and that there are no console updates to worry about. Now you can right-click on one of your friends and select Send Message or Invite to Party. Whereas, Xbox One owners will be able to play Xbox 360 games on their consoles.

But the sizable sales lead that the PS4 has over the Xbox One is of little concern to Microsoft’s Xbox execs. The display will show up to four of the most recent players, as well as the information on the last date played, the Gamerscore and the percentage of completed Achievements.

Players will also get a chance to know when their friends have played a particular game via a new animated display for Recently Played. From a Game Hub page, select Achievements > Compare at the top right above the list of all of the achievements. Though, with Microsoft’s current emphasis on synergy and a single ecosystem, it’s very likely that it will make its way to portable Windows 10 devices.

Microsoft has been a name which has been making to the news almost every single day in the past one year. For users with bigger game collections, sorting between those has also been improved as you can now see multiple titles under the same starting letter, or even browse alphabetically.

For those not aware, Windows 10 is a free upgrade and you don’t really need a powerful system for it to work, especially for the game streaming.
