The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that Davis will appear on HBO’s Game of Thrones.

It is in this play-within-a-show in “Game of Thrones” season 6 where the Australian actress takes on the role of Cersei Lannister. But according to fan site Watchers on the Wall, which broke the casting, Davis plays the leader of a traveling theater company in which she plays the role of Lady Cersei Lannister.

Davis’ character will mock the debauchery of Lena Headey’s Queen Cersei, which is not likely to go down well with the touchy aristocrat.

In 2011, Davis starred in the Australian version of “The Slap“, which is the original one, and in 2014, Davis played a mother in “The Babadook“.

Game of Thrones” has already been renewed for season 6 and 7, although speculations are that it will end after season 8. She and her group will perform a story version of the King’s Landing which is set in Essos and the storyline revolving around the Lannisters and all the drama surrounding them. Her biggest movie roles are in “The Matrix Reloaded” and “The Matrix Revolution”.

The new cast members on the show include Max von Sydow, as the Three-Eyed Raven, Freddie Stroma as Dickon Tarly, Pilou Asb k as Euron Greyjoy, Ian McShane and Richard E Grant.
