An 18-year-old Harrow-educated schoolboy has died after being punched in a drunken row in Malia, Crete as he was waiting for his A-level results.
He is understood to have got a taxi back to his hotel after refusing medical help from paramedics outside the club. However, the young man refused to go to the hospital and returned to his hotel, where his friends found him dead a few hours later.
The notice read: “He was a wonderful and much loved son of James and Claire and adored brother of Hector, Hugo, Kitty and Flora”.
Lloyd, who turned 18 last month, traveled to Crete earlier this month for a holiday with friends to celebrate his graduation.
Malia is a notorious party hot-spot, that was the setting of the The Inbetweeners movie, where the characters celebrated leaving school.
A post-mortem examination showed the teenager suffered a severe head injuries including bleeding on the brain.
No further details were revealed in the inquest which has been adjourned for 8 February 2016.
Sebastian Trabucatti, 22, from East Grinstead, West Sussex, has been charged with “gross negligence leading to manslaughter” and has been released on police bail. “We are providing consular assistance to the family at this hard time”.
