The news came at Gamescom in regard to “All Future” Xbox 360 titles within the free Games with Gold lineup, now being compatible with Xbox One through backwards compatibility.
Microsoft also unleashed the Xbox One chat pad, which is identical to its Xbox 360. The redesign and the Xbox One DVR are expected to hit by the end of this year.
If this happens, it will make gamers’ lives much easier, not only will they only pay once for a title that works across Xbox and Windows but they’ll also be able to play with other people using both platforms.
During Tuesday’s press briefing in Cologne, Germany, a number of game release announcements and gameplay trailer screenings were made, alongside a couple of console accessory introductions for better gaming experiences.
The feature will allow for the streaming of recorded shows via the Xbox app for Windows 10 devices and through the Xbox Smartglass app on iOS and Android.
The Xbox One live TV recording update will launch in 2016. Today, Microsoft has confirmed that the DVR functionality will require users to have a dedicated external HDD connected as TV footage will not record to the console’s internal hard drive as previously thought. The Xbox One will see a user interface upgrade that’s powered by Windows 10.
This one snaps to the base of the Xbox One controller and permits you to type serenely while talking with your companions. To do this, head to the special Games with Gold section of the Xbox 360 home page and start purchasing your Xbox One games from there.
Unlike its predecessor, it has two programmable buttons at the bottom.
Of course, the bundle would not be complete without a copy of Halo 5: Guardians, which comes with the Warzone REQ Bundle-14 premium Requisition Packs, FOTUS-class armor, and exclusive multiplayer emblem. There’s also the previously announced Gears of War 4 coming out next year too.
