To make sure that the Ford Mustang is capable of handling the country roads, Ford took away the standard rear axle and fitted in a different independent rear suspension that allows the Ford Mustang to run gracefully along the narrow roads of Europe.

More importantly, the eight-month sales total is absolutely crushing Ford’s competitors-the Mustang has thus far outsold the Camaro by more than 30,000 units and the Challenger by almost 50,000 units.

Ford Global Marketing executive vice president Stephen Odell said: “Initial global response to the Mustang has been strong, and we are only in second gear”. Ford sales analyst Erich Merkle says the automaker is working to solidify that title by beginning production on a right-hand drive model.

Additionally, the Mustang sports auto has also registered 36 percent of the entire sports vehicle purchases by women in 2015, which explains why it is also poised as the best-selling sports auto among American women. According to data from HIS automotive, global registrations of the 2015 Mustang have shown that the vehicle was the best selling sports auto in the world in early 2015.

As in Australia, where the order book opened in March and pre-orders surpassed the 2000 mark in May, extra United Kingdom supplies have been secured to meet the greater than expected demand.

And which colors are most popular? In China, Race Red is on top of the list, followed by Black. Meanwhile, Black takes the top spot in both the USA and the Middle East.
