Ferrari Creates One Off F12 Berlinetta SG50 To Mark Singapore’s Indenpendence

These latest spy pictures come just a few weeks after an undisguised prototype was spotted, with that vehicle also photographed close to Ferrari’s Maranello factory.

In terms of styling, the F12 Speciale gets all the usual lightweight touches, with carbon fibre body panels and vents on the front and rear wings. Sporting a red and white scheme on the outside that mirrors the colors of Singapore’s flag, the Italian automaker gave it a different shade of red than you’d typically see on a Ferrari called Rosso Singapore. The standard F12 Berlinetta will continue in production alongside it.

Like the 458 Speciale, the stripped out F12 will be faster, lighter and even sharper to drive than the standard auto. The model is weighing 1,340 kg and it has a hard top which can be opened or closed in 14 seconds. This is the roadster version of the 458 Speciale and it has been based on the 458 Italia.

The F12 Speciale will receive a unique tune for its suspension and steering, as well as optimised safety and stability systems designed to make the vehicle as adept on a circuit as on the road.

It is unlikely that the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta SG50 will ever be showcased in the U.S. but it will eventually go to one lucky owner in Singapore.

Prices will be revealed at a later date, but expect to add between £30,000 and £50,000 to the cost of a basic F12.
