Ex-Bond Brosnan Stopped With Knife At Airport

Pierce Brosnan was stopped by airport officials in Vermont on Sunday after the Irish actor reportedly attempted to take a knife on a plane.

The 62-year-old actor was questioned by US Transportation Security Administration (TSA) agents at Burlington Airport in Vermont on Sunday (02.08.15) when a 10-inch knife was discovered in his hand luggage as he tried to go through security.

He says Brosnan “was encountered by TSA at one of their checkpoints” and was allowed to proceed after the issue was resolved.

The Daily Mail said that Brosnan was travelling with his 14-year-old youngest son Paris when a TSA officer pulled him aside after the knife showed up during routine scanning of his carry on shoulder bag. Their rules state that sharp objects longer than 4 inches must be stored in checked baggage.

Oh wait! Brosnan only played the superspy in a string of Bond films, but his movie star status could explain why this supposedly seasoned traveler somehow imagined he could get away with carrying a big knife in his carry-on luggage onto a U.S. flight.

He visited Ireland last month and wrote in an Instagram post: “Goodbye, my sweet home of Ireland, that I can call you now after all these years overseas a wandering”.
