Salazar apparently tweeted a photo of himself and his fugitive father, Mexican kinpin Joaquin (El Chapo) Guzman dining in plain sight at an outdoor restaurant.
IT HAS emerged that Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman, the world’s most wanted drug lord, may be hiding out in Costa Rica, after his son accidentally revealed where he was on social media.
However, he bribed prison guards, and was able to flee from a federal maximum-security prison in Puente Grande in 2001.
The Forbes magazine ranked El Chapo as one of the most powerful people in the world in 2009, 2010 and 2011.
It says their in Costa Rica.
Like his dad, Alfredo is also wanted by authorities.
He exited by climbing down a hole underneath his shower stall and rode a motorcycle on rails underground to an escape hatch a mile away.
It was a devastating blow to Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto in his fight against the country’s drug cartels.
While some think the Mexican government could be implicated in the daring escape, authorities are offering a $3.8-million reward to those who help capture the notorious drug lord for the third time.
Though all the faces barring Alfredo’s are obscured, the man on the 29-year-old’s right appears to be his father, “Pa” Guzman.
The picture shows El Chapo – real name Joaquin Guzman – sitting at a table with two other men, with the diners appearing to be flanked by bodyguards.
“August here, you already know with whom,” a caption says.
He used a smartphone, but wasn’t smart enough to switch off the phone’s location-tagging function, according to Britain’s Daily Mail newspaper.
The photo is dated August 26 with the pinned Twitter location saying Costa Rica.
