The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will meet with Mufti Munibur Rehman in the chair on Monday to sight Zil Haj moon.
The committee will decide about sighting or otherwise of Zil Hajj moon. “So first Zilhaj will fall on Wednesday (Sept 16) and Eidul Azha will be celebrated on Sept 25”, Mufti Rehman told reporters after the meeting.
While talking to media, Chaudhry Nisar told that holidays for Eid ul Adha will start from Thursday, September2 015 and will continue till 26 September 2015. Pakistan usually remains a day behind from most of the Muslim countries in marking Eid-al-Fitr and Eid-al-Adha festivals due to the new moon sighting.
The Islamic month of Zilhaj will now commence on September 16 whereas Eidul Azha will be celebrated across Pakistan on September 25.
