Donald Trump made his first late-night appearance on “The Tonight Show” on Friday.
Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump found himself on The Tonight Show this weekend, being interviewed by Jimmy Fallon, but there was a twist – before the show, Fallon dressed up as Trump and interviewed himself in the mirror.
Fallon didn’t let the candidate off the hook, jokingly pushing back when Trump responded to a question with a group of non-sequiturs. “He’s fantastic but more of a Supreme Court justice in my opinion”, Trump replies.
“How am I going to get Mexico to build a wall?”
In an interview segment, Trump was quick to cast aspersions on Hillary Clinton, who he said faces “tough stuff” in light of the current scrutiny she is receiving due to questions about how she handled emails while U.S. Secretary of State.
Trump’s answer cracks the studio audience while Fallon, still in his Trump impersonation, gestures with his head and mouth, “smart move”. However, according to the site, he also appears agitated as the comical skit progresses.
Oh, and of course, his vice presidential running mate. Trump also talked about taking better care of USA veterans, said something nice about his opponent Carly Fiorina and weighed in on Kanye West’s announcement to run for president in 2020. Therefore, it’s reportedly doubtful whether he was being serious with his announcement, considering he was high during the show.
