Destiny fans are rejoicing no matter where you look – the Destiny subreddit in particular (complete with Gjallarhorn mouse pointer and raining banner) is running wild with Guardians scrambling to get ahold of their Gjallarhorn. (Maybe if DLCs-okay, every level in the game-weren’t just the same maps run in reverse I’d be inclined to agree with that assessment.). Have you watched on, green with envy, as those around you were running the Vault of Glass while dispatching their enemies with Destiny’s most desirable rocket launcher?
It’s not cheap. Players must pay 17 odd Coins to snag one. So why now has Xur (or Bungie, that is) decided to let the masses have the coveted rocket launcher?
Though it was on sale once before at the start of the game’s launch, it’s never been widely available, outside of very rare random loot drops – until now.
You can find Xur hanging out around near the jukebox in the Tower.
He also has the Insurmountable Skullfort, Achylopage Symbiote, and Light Beyond Nemesis exotics.
If you play Destiny, you know the Gjallarhorn. Suddenly people like me, who can appreciate Destiny without understanding it whatsoever, are being asked to visit their friend’s home, turn on their console, figure out who the hell Xûr is, and buy a fake weapon in a virtual world.
