Three teenagers have been arrested for using slingshots to fire objects at vehicles and pedestrians in what authorities are mimicking a string of Arizona vehicle shootings. A fourth 18-year-old was under investigation for being an accomplice.

The teen terrors face charges of assault, endangerment and criminal damage, police said.

Milstead said there has not been a confirmed highway shooting in that area since Thursday. Officials said they are likely “copycats” of the incident.
