The Terps have struggled to get their running game going since the season opener and Kwiatkoski will do everything he can to keep it that way on Saturday. In some instances, he didn’t look like the polished, experience quarterback who Maryland’s offense could depend on throughout the season.

He was able to create big plays with his arm downfield and provided some consistency and confidence at the position. Starting next Saturday, the team will begin an October slate against Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Baylor and TCU, with three of the four games coming on the road.

Georgetown outshot West Virginia, 16-3, with 10 shots on goal to WVU’s one. He has 231 total yards on the season, but his touches are likely to increase against a better opponent in Maryland.

The loss to Bowling Green brought everything into focus for the coach.
