CNN Turk: Turkish official says Turkey, US agree to Syria ‘safe zone

The PKK and Turkey had carried out a peace process since 2012.



The PKK, designated a terrorist group by Turkey, the United States and European Union, has fought a three-decade insurgency with the state in which more than 40,000 people have died.

A noncommissioned officer and two specialized sergeants were killed in a bomb attack in the eastern province of Bingöl on Saturday, while a policeman was killed in a separate incident.

During these operations, 390 terrorists were killed and over 400 injured, 150 of which were injured critically.

“It [Turkey] stands against the Kurdish side”. The vast majority, the government admitted, were suspected of links with the PKK.

Demirtas said his “target” was 20 percent, which is roughly the size of the Kurdish minority. The Istanbul governor’s office said police were searching for a second woman involved in the attack.
