Sherman said he did not agree with everything in the post, but that he was going to use the opportunity and his position to make some points on diversity.

“I don’t think any time’s a time to call for an all-out war on the police or any race of people”.

“In the end, I think he got it”, McKesson tweeted.

While agreeing with aspects of what was falsely posted under his name, Sherman’s contention was all lives should matter. “I stand for that, I believe in that wholeheartedly”.

“The Journal-Constitution also ran a response from #BlackLivesMatter leader Shaun King, calling Conway’s statement “one of the most ignorant, uninformed, and inflammatory statements from a man of his stature in law enforcement that I have ever read”. He said he reminded him “that as public employees we are often held to higher level of scrutiny and that even if it is a personal social media account and despite not associating himself directly to the Town in his posting, that some will draw the connection”. They also advocate the targeting of law enforcement officers and the complete disbanding of police departments, while urging “freedom from mass incarceration” for those they deem political prisoners. In addition, I think the issue at hand needs to be addressed internally, and before we move on, because from personal experience, you know, you have living in the hood, living in the inner city, you deal with things, and you deal with people dying. “I dealt with a best friend getting killed, and it was two 35-year-old black men”.

“The majority of law enforcement officers go out here and do their job and do it professionally and by the book day in and day out, just like I think the majority of folks in the Black Lives movement have no nefarious agenda”, McClelland says. “That was the thanks I got for risking my life for 35 years”.

“I didn’t hear anyone else shouting black lives matter then”, he said of the murder of his friend. “So why don’t we just say lives matter and take that to the bank?” “My cousin got shot and killed when I was in college, and it was pretty significant to me“.

Black Lives Matter was founded in 2012.

“There is no doubt in my mind that our country must be aggressive in addressing institutional racism and a broken criminal justice system”, he said. I felt badly for [Sanders], but it showed that he was weak. Halstead added that if they need to “shoot a thug, then do it and answer for it while you are still alive not dead”. However, these are things a lot of us have dealt with our whole lives.

Bergman said Halstead did not mention Surf City specifically in the post or intend for the post to be about local issues.

“To me, that’s what I’m proud of, that he’s not afraid to be criticized, not afraid to be judged”, Baldwin said. “He deserved his right to talk to the people of this town”. “It also changes the way I have to approach it”.

Unfortunately, Biko, BLM and others who constantly blame whites for all their problems don’t realize that, when left to their own devices, blacks create violent, drug-ridden hellholes like in Chicago, Baltimore, Ferguson, South Central Los Angeles, Detroit and Harlem. It is more important to wait for the facts and report those.

It is more important to wait for the facts and report those.” What the hell was that? You have just painted an entire race as savages. If I said when whites were left to their own devices they cause wars and slavery would I be correct? It’s a shame that’s the way you see things.
