The Blues have been linked with a £82.5m bid for the Juventus midfielder as Mourinho looks to bolster his squad ahead of next week’s deadline.
Reports in the British media this week have claimed that Pogba would demand wages of up to £318,000 a week to move to the Stamford Bridge outfit.
Mourinho was quizzed about the reports linking Pogba with the west London club at his weekly news conference at Cheslea’s training ground on Friday afternoon, but the Portuguese coach was giving little away.
Asked about Chelsea’s reported interest in Pogba, Mourinho told the gathered media: “I’m not going to do the ‘like’, ‘I would like’ of Pogba. He’s a Juventus player, I’m the Chelsea manager.”
He added: “I have a good squad. I’m happy with the squad I have. If I get another player until the end of the market, good. If I don’t get, we go with what we have.”
