In spite of its old-fashioned build, it exceeded $1 billion dollars in hardware and software sales a year later. From September 9 to September 14, the Sony PlayStation birthday sale will be going on, offering tons of content at a low, low price of up to 70% off. PS Plus members will enjoy steeper discounts of up to 80%. That was quite a few years after the Playstation was released though, with Sony competing against Microsoft with the Playstation 3.
