Caitlyn Jenner could face manslaughter charges for fatal vehicle crash

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is set to recommend a charge of misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter against Caitlyn Jenner for the February crash that resulted in the death of a 69-year-old woman, authorities told ABC station KABC.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s office said detectives would soon present evidence to prosecutors that could lead to a misdemeanor manslaughter charge against Jenner.

Her vehicle collided with a Lexus, pushing it into oncoming traffic. The Prius driver, Jessica Steindorff, was cited for driving on a suspended license, Curry said.

Caitlyn Jenner would surely be allowed her prescriptions for any hormones or estrogen that she needs while she is incarcerated”, says our source. Jenner later released a statement expressing sympathy with Howe’s family, calling it “a devastating tragedy”. “Now, it would be a felony if the speeding was excessive, but in this case, it really wasn’t”, said attorney Dana Cole, a legal expert not involved in the Jenner case. “I am praying for them”, she added.

Vomhof said Jenner’s celebrity probably ensures that that the presentation detectives will make to prosecutors next week will be based on rock-solid evidence and an exhaustive investigation.

However, despite the possibility of jail time, Jenner’s attorney, Blair Berk, claimed that she may not have to spend jail time as she has no prior criminal record and would most likely face probation or a lesser charge.

Jenner underwent sex change operation this year that was revealed in June and now has her own television program, “I am Cait”, which revolves around her life as a transgender.

Steindorff has freely scrutinized Jenner for not standing up about her obligation in the accident, particularly around the time that Jenner was given the Arthur Ashe Award for Courage. The Prius was then hit by a white Lexus sedan driven by Howe.

After the crash, Howe’s family with another unidentified woman who were also involved in the crash filed a lawsuit against Jenner, according to USA Today.
