West Ham have Chelsea winger Victor Moses top of their wanted list and could also resurrect a move for former QPR midfielder Joey Barton. Moses is a proven Premier League talent, and at only 24, he is still entering the prime of his career.

If that deal falls through West Ham are likely to ask Tottenham about signing Aaron Lennon on loan while Manchester United’s Adnan Januzaj could also be an option.

Many Villa fans will remember Moses for slotting a penalty past Brad Guzan in the dying moments of Tim Sherwood’s first game in charge last season, as Villa fell 2-1 to Stoke.

After an impressive set of pre-season performances, Moses could be forgiven for thinking he was finally set be given a chance by Jose Mourinho but the serial victor instead went with his trusted world-class stars in attack.
