Police first received a series of number of 911 calls Sunday night saying a suspicious man had been seen in the area, walking through people’s backyards.

A Kansas man is facing a charge of animal cruelty after police say he tried to use a dog as a weapon.

A man was caught on a police dash cam using his tiny pet dog as a weapon against police. The dog was unharmed and is now in protective custody, according to the station. “He was totally out of his head”.

In the video, the man identified as Rush can be seen trying to walk away from the officer before charging at him. He was finally subdued after more officers arrived on the scene for backup. The dog was placed in a local shelter.

“Everyone sees this little dog that’s defenseless”.

Rush isn’t the first person to use a dog as a defense mechanism.
