Apple Watch has new extra-large bands for your fat wrists

Apple Watch users with Link Bracelets can use these external links to increase the band size for bigger wrists. The swappable medium-large band size that comes in the box doesn’t always help.

If you’ve wanted an Apple Watch but your meaty wrists have made Apple’s wearable a no-go, salvation is at hand. It also incorporates six extra links to expand the Link Bracelet to fit wrists as extensive as 245mm.

Watch prices range from $349 for the 38mm Sport model to $17,000 for the most expensive 18-karat gold Apple Watch Edition.

Meanwhile, there’s also been an update to Apple’s Sports Straps, which now come in a larger size too. The larger band would fit wrists with size ranging from 195-245mm.

It’s also worth noting that while the S/M and M/L Sport Bands are available in black, white, pink, blue, and green colors, the L/XL bands are only offered in black and white. They are created from the same stainless steel combination as the case and the Link Bracelet. And thanks to a simple release button, you can add and remove them without any special tools.

Apple’s Link Bracelet Kit is priced at $49 and available for purchase immediately through the company’s online site. Shipping takes about 5-7 business days, or you can also opt to pick the kit up in a nearby Apple Store. The $249 option has been listed as a band available for purchasing on its own since the Watch launched earlier this year, but until today it has been unavailable.

Finally, for the first time, Apple has begun to allow buyers to purchase a standalone 38mm Modern Buckle.
