Cupertino continues its tradition of teasing what’s to come in its event invites, this time with the tagline, “Hey Siri, give us a hint”. Apple just invited journalists to its annual September press event.

Although nothing has been confirmed, I’d bet the house that we’ll see the arrival of the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. The launch of new iPhones are usually accompanied by long lines of people waiting outside Apple stores looking to be among the first to get their hands on the next Apple smartphone.

As for the iPhone 6s itself, both the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus are believed to feature Force Touch haptic feedback (a vibration in the phone when you push buttons or type).

Apple suppliers are gearing up for the launch of a smaller 4-inch model dubbed iPhone 6C as soon as November.

Industry insiders have also speculated Apple may introduce a larger iPad for business users, a new set-top box for televisions and possibly other products.

Apart from the hardware, Apple will also unveil the finished iOS 9, Watch OS 2 and Mac OS X El Capitan.

That new handset will have a much better camera than the iPhone 6, according to the 9to5Mac blog. The iPad Pro could end up being a wildcard for the September event. Apple has finally cleared the confusion by sending out official invitations for a September 9 media event, where it is expected to showcase the new iPhone 6S.

Last year’s plastic-clad iPhone 5c would also not be seeing a refresh and the series would be discontinued, the report added. The technology already is in the Apple Watch and some of the newer MacBooks.
