Many have been reduced from from about $5 to or $0.99. Now if you’ve been eyeing some of these apps but felt they were too expensive, you’re in luck because it looks like Apple has launched one of their biggest iTunes App Store promotions.
The offer’s covered in this DigitalTrends article from July 24. Notably, the image editing app Pixelmator previously cost $5, and it’s joined by Real Racing, GoodReader, and Badland – all of which also cost around the same price originally. Check out the full list of apps and games on offer here. Developers have been tweeting about the specials since July 23; check their latest tweets here using the hashtag #AppStoreOffers. Games feature heavily throughout the promotion, with The Room Two, Goat Simulator, Need For Speed, Dead Space, and Cut The Rope 2 all taking center stage.
It’s not clear how long the sale will go on for, so we’d recommend moving quickly.
Listen, Apple Insider agrees, see: “While many “Amazing Apps & Games” have been around for some time, the Apple promo is a good opportunity to stock up on quick fix games, popular tools normally priced well above a dollar and franchise pieces missing from your collection”. DigitalTrends.com speculates that it’s not just a short term thing.
