iOS 8.4.1 download was released yesterday to the public and came with extremely sad news that Apple had patched the exploits needed to make the TaiG jailbreak work.
This news means that if you update to iOS 8.4.1, then you will lose your jailbreak on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.
It also fixes the issue that caused random artwork for an album to appear on other devices.
The update also provides solutions to issues some artists were facing when posting on Connect.
Apple has today rolled out new versions of iOS and OS X geared towards fixing some of the early problems encountered by Apple Music listeners. This indicates a new firmware update failed to bring changes on every problem.
The overwhelming response to Apple Music, especially Beats 1 radio, has been positive. I want the option to save a playlist separately, then add it to My Music if I feel like it later.
How are you finding Apple Music so far? Moving forward you’ll be able to check out the entire broadcast schedule from inside the desktop app by clicking on the Beats 1 banner.
You can view a complete list of security content fixes here. In addition, it also includes a bunch of other fixes such as artists being incorrectly categorized in “My Music”, while playlists displayed in the action menu now match playlists in a user’s library. So, if you have jailbroken your iOS device using TaiG jailbreak, it is recommended to stay away from this update.
What are your thoughts about the iOS 8.4 and iTunes 12.2.2 updates? Plus, you can see the artists you’re following on Connect and manage them from iTunes, just click the account icon (with looks like a silhouette of a person) and select “Following”. An issue with QuickTime Player was that it wouldn’t allow playback of Windows Media files, which also has been fixed.
