Amazon is doing their best to take over the entire gaming industry, at least when it comes to which company sells the most variety of games. Since its launch in the fall of 2012, the Wii U has obviously seen a lot of activity from the game studio’s classic franchises.
So maybe we’ll get something special on Prime Day next year.
The store is now live, selling download codes for Wii U, 3DS and Wii games, plus DLC packs. In essence, you’ll buy the content, then link your Nintendo ID to the service, and the code will auto-populate for you to enter.
The listing is composed of first party titles for now, with a focus on retail and Virtual Console games.
Using the new storefront seems surprisingly straightforward compared to Nintendo’s usual complicated online systems.
