Fox wishes “Happy Loop Day” with the first teaser for “Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children”, director Tim Burton’s adaptation of the bestselling novel by Ransom Riggs. What is Loop Day?
As for why the looping pocket watch in the teaser? The teaser doesn’t give many revelations other than honoring the important event in the story which happened on September 3, 1940, AceShowbiz reports. As our story opens, a horrific family tragedy sets sixteen-year-old Jacob journeying to a remote island off the coast of Wales, where he discovers the crumbling ruins of Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. After his grandfather dies, leaving behind a mystery that “spans different worlds and times”, Jacob follows the clues to Miss Peregrine (Eva Green) and her magical home of supernaturally gifted orphans. Fans who have already read the book must have known that September 3 is a “Loop Day”.
Look for the film in theatres on March 4, 2016.
“Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children” stars Asa Butterfield, Ella Purnell, Chris O’Dowd, Allison Janney, Terence Stamp, Kim Dickens, Rupert Everett, Judi Dench and Samuel L. Jackson. He soon discovers that these children are in danger, and that he might be the only one who can save them.
