The family of the 14-year-old Muslim boy who was led out of school in handcuffs has hired attorneys to get back the homemade clock that administrators mistook for a bomb, NBC News reports. “Did the teacher do the wrong thing?”

Many criticized school officials for overreacting due to the fact that the boy is Muslim.

“For the last 30 years it’s been one culture that’s been blowing s*** up over and over again”, Maher explained.

But in an overreaction of political correctness, prominent people jumped to his defense and criticized the school district and police who took Ahmed into custody until they could figure out what was going on.

The teenage whiz-kid has endured a stressful ordeal, being handcuffed and interrogated by police after his English teacher became concerned that a digital clock he built and brought to school to show another teacher was explosive.

“Ahmed said: ‘I don’t want to go to MacArthur, ‘” Mr. Mohamed said to The Dallas Morning News on Tuesday. The evidence: printed circuit boards and ribbon cables. He’ll work on Ahmed’s case with Reggie London, whose Dallas firm typically deals with drunken-driving charges, traffic tickets and other criminal defense cases.

“I had significant feedback on this, some of which you wouldn’t be able to print”, Boyd said.

A lawsuit could be filed as early as next week, however it’s not clear if the Irving Independent School District or Irving Police Department will be named in the suit.

“With us being hired, I imagine they’ll probably cease comments like that”.

Police did not call out the bomb squad and the school was not evacuated.

Controversial evolutionary biologist Richard Dawkins has prompted mass backlash after taking to Twitter to criticize the motives of Ahmed Mohamed, the 14-year-old Texan arrested on suspicion of making a bomb.

Alia Salem, the executive director of the Dallas Council on American-Islamic Relations, tweeted about it along with the picture of Ahmed next to these gifts.
