Adrian Peterson: “I’m happy to be a Viking”

December 1, 2013; Minneapolis, MN, USA; Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson (28) rushes for 18 yards as Chicago Bears cornerback Tim Jennings (26) tackles him in the third quarter at Mall of America Field at H.H.H. Bridgewater had accuracy concerns when coming into the NFL by some scouts, but he put that to bed by completing 64 percent of his passes last season.

“Welcome home AP; real Vikings fans still love you”.

“I’m sure they have some good stuff on tape, and I’ll leave it in their hands to decide what they want to do”, Peterson said. “It will take a while for this to get erased out of my memory”. Peterson, having recently restructured his deal to add more guaranteed money, got out of his vehicle to chants of “A-P” and “M-V-P”, according to media reports.

“This agreement is a win for both Adrian and the Vikings and is a positive step toward Adrian finishing his career as a Minnesota Viking”, Vikings general manager Rick Spielman said in an official team statement. “Sometimes when we’re bench pressing, if it bounces off his chest, that’s where they get the tears”.

“He was going over hurdles or something in the offseason program”, Zimmer said of Matthews’ injury. “I do think the situation we’re in right now is the best for us to get ready as a football team”.

“I’m definitely happy. If that wasn’t the case, I would have just played this year out and not try to redo the contract”. Bridgewater had 12 interceptions last year and the team is hoping he cuts down on that a bit. But Zimmer plans to give Peterson plenty of reps in practice.

It’s yet another disappointing ending for Freeman, who just five years ago was one of the most promising young quarterbacks in football.

“It’s nice, him back there with OTA’s and going full speed and seeing the way he practices and getting prepared for the season is pretty fun to watch and it’s gonna make our team better.” says wide receiver Adam Thielen.

Wallace said the duo worked out for “almost a week in Miami” and started to develop some timing on his pattern of choice, the go route.

“The way I would describe it is, you become callous to a lot of things”, Spielman said. I’ll probably have to hold him back more so than push him. It will be the 50th consecutive year the Vikings have conducted training camp in Mankato. “I think Mankato does a great job of helping us feel welcome, and the university here as well”.
