State police spokesman Steve McCausland said the search for Lord was focused in Lee Friday morning.

Police said Friday that 35-year-old Anthony Lord was arrested in Houlton.

Police planned an afternoon news conference to provide more details about the victims and the search for Lord, who is considered armed and risky.

Police are searching for a gunman after four people were shot in three northern Maine towns Thursday night, police said.

The three towns in which the shootings took place are Lee, Benedicta, and Silver Ridge.

Lord is about 5-foot-9, 263 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes.

Police have set up a command post at Lee Academy to coordinate the efforts.

Four people were shot overnight in the towns of Lee, Benedicta and Silver Ridge, Maine.

The identities and condition of the victims was not immediately known.

Traffic was being blocked in and out of the town of Lee, according to our media partner WABI in Bangor.

Police believe Lord has stolen a 2010 maroon Peterbilt pulp truck with green lettering on the side that reads “McCarthy” and an orange-colored boom. The license plate of the truck is 631745, the statement said.
