The shocking video of 49ers fans beating and kicking a Vikings fan on Monday night served an important goal: It helped police in Santa Clara identify four suspects in the crime.

Detectives eventually identified four suspects from the video.

The fight happened on the west side of Levi’s Stadium near Gate C around 10:20 p.m. Monday, September 14 shortly after the game let out.

The video shows people wearing 49ers jerseys hitting a man wearing a Vikings jersey.

SCPD say they primarily used the video to find the suspects, and that injuries sustained by the Vikings fan and a security guard are non-life threatening.

On Thursday night, detectives arrested 32-year-old Hollister resident Felix Chavira, 33-year-old Hollister resident Juan Arias, 30-year-old San Jose resident Eric Martinez and an unnamed 17-year-old female, the station reported Friday. The 18-year-old security officer who attempted to break up the assault also suffered non-life threatening injuries. Detectives also arrested a female juvenile. The three adults were taken to Santa Clara County Jail and the teenage girl was given a citation and released to her parents, police said. The team said his season tickets were being revoked.

The police department is continuing to investigate the incident.
