According to the St. Louis County Police Department, officers were called shortly before 2:30 p.m. Thursday and found the 16-year-old victim in the front foyer of the home. According to CNN, when police arrived at the house Thursday afternoon, they found the teen lying in the front hallway.

Donna Jackson told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that she saw the 11-year-old shoot the 16-year-old at point-blank range as they talked near front door.

The second suspect is believed to have fled when shots were fired, but was later caught and arrested.

Their mother wasn’t home during the incident, but is cooperating with police. He was shot once in the head, cops said.

Another neighbor, Anna Carvin, 25, said the 11-year-old had previously broke into her own home and stole cellphones. The 11-year-old then shot the 16-year-old and the other suspect ran away. “He was always sitting on the porch, he never went inside the house”, said a neighbor. Neither sibling was hurt in the incident.

Police said Streeter was with Stevieon Jackson, 22, who lives on the same block of Hallwood, when Streeter was killed.

“They were just arguing loud, you know, back and forth”, she said. He used a handgun that his mother had purchased after the family experienced a number of previously attempted break-ins.

Crime scene tape surrounds the home, a modest white wood and brick ranch.
